Yet again, no card or die are used to move the riders. Only an intelligent management of the energy will allow the cyclists to move. LEADER 1 IS A STRATEGY GAME in which the mechanisms are applied on the reality of a cycling race: different routes, riders with different characteristics, breakaways, sprinters, descenders, peloton’s pursuit, slipstreaming, cracks, falls, punctures, feed zone, bonus time. HOW TO PLAY  YOU MANAGE A TEAM OF 3 CYCLISTS: a leader, a rouleur and a climber. Each of them have a specific quality that allows him to have better performances on his preferred ground and a number of energy points to use at the best during the race. Furthermore, two racers of each team will be one a sprinter and the other a descender.  PLACE THE ROUTE HEXAGONS in order to play a different race each time. AT THE BEGINNING OF THE RACE, all cyclists are in the peloton, represented by a card on its card stand. Every turn, each player may get one or more of his racers out of the peloton and breakaway. But attention: the group moves according to a die’s value and if this falls on its red face, the cyclists risk a fall!  ONCE SOME CYCLISTS HAVE BROKENAWAY, they will be moved according to the classification order. Every racer will enjoy the benefits of a free base movement which varies according to his speciality. However, if he wants to go faster, he will consume part of his energy.  As for real  IN THIS GAME YOU WILL FIND slipstreaming that allows to reduce the energy consumption, risks as cracks that burn energy or puncture. You can also recover energy making the peloton catch you up. Stage races are possible with a general classification system, bonus time in case of a stage victory and intermediate sprints.
