Drive a real bolide!

THE MAIN INNOVATION COMPARED TO SIMILAR BOARDGAMES consists of the cars' movement which is based neither on cards nor dies: actually, an original moving rule gives the total control to the drivers through an additional pawn linked to each car.

LEARNING TO USE THIS PAWN
is like learning to drive a real racing car, having the chance to experience an amazing and exhaustive simulation level during the 2 laps of the race.

AS IN THE REAL WORLD, ALL THE PLAYERS WILL HAVE TO TEST
their own driving capabilities and their unique style to face a real race, by choosing the best trajectories, accelerating or decelerating.

HOW TO PLAY

EACH PLAYER DRIVES A CAR
for the 2 laps of the race, performing accelerations and decelerations according to the pawn’s rule

IN EACH TURN THE PAWN INDICATES
the direction and the speed of the car and also determines which direction and speed the car could go in the next move.
For example, if your car is travelling at speed 5 in a good direction, in the following turn you won’t be able to move at speed 2 towards a completely opposite direction, but you will have to decrease your speed gradually and start changing the movement direction.

THEREFORE, ACCELERATIONS AND DECELERATIONS
must be gradual and even the changes of directions must be thought in advance, not to go out of the track.

YOUR BOLIDE PERFORMANCES WILL BE STRONGLY DETERMINED
BY YOUR OWN CHOICES and by your opponents’,
not by chance, even if fortune may come into play by unforeseen events like car damages,
weather conditions or cars’ engagements.

A GAME WHICH GROWS TOGETHER WITH YOUR OWN ABILITIES

ONCE YOU CONTROL THE BASIC RULES,
you will be ready for the advanced ones! In this way, your enjoyment will not change in time.

BASIC RULES

Choose your best strategy

YOU WILL HAVE TO DECIDE WHETHER TO RUN AN ATTACK RACE,
driving at top speed and forcing your engine, with some risk, or to WAIT PATIENTLY FOR THE OPPONENT’S FAULT to perform the decisive overtaking!  Once you master the movement mechanism and the sharp brakings rule you will be able to race against your opponents, making stunning overtakings, taking advantage from the opponents' slipstreaming and defending your ranking even at cost of collisions or moves out of the track.

Do you like to risk?

BESIDES THE ABILITY, EACH DRIVER MAY HAVE THE PROPENSITY TO RISK:
he can decide that risk is necessary to win!

He will:
  • force then his engine just to go faster (booster), or
  • to make the most of the tyres to perform a sharp braking (brake) although the tyres are totally worn out.

IN THESE SITUATIONS THE DIE COMES IN
and it could repay the fearless drivers by providing them those superior performances that make the difference, or it could punish them for having dared too much, and force them to finish the race with a damaged car.

The die can also recreate further unforeseen events that usually happen during a real race:
  • the skidding wheels at the start
  • the racing team being long at the pit stop
  • a half spin after a cars collision and
  • even the safety car coming in.

ADVANCED RULES

ONCE YOU MASTER THE BASIC RULES, YOU'LL PLAY WITH THE ADVANCED RULES,
having to take strategic decisions too: actually if in the basic rules all the drivers duel by using cars with the same engine and tyres performances, in the advanced rules they will have to be able to interpret a race, according to their ranking position on the starting grid, to the circuit’s shape and characteristics, and last but not least to their own unique driving style .

Always different rules

8 RACE STRATEGIES ARE POSSIBLE RELATED:

  • to the pit stop choice (to refill the fuel and to change the tyres)
  • to the tyres’ choice (soft tyres to go faster or hard tyres to have more sharp brakings) and finally
  • to the choice of the car’s set-up (to increase the engine’s reliability on the fast stretches or to improve the car’s behaviour in the toughest curves).

ACCORDING TO THE STRATEGY CHOSEN YOU CAN DRIVE 8 DIFFERENT CARS.

Provided that it does not rain
…otherwise all your calculations could be radically changed!
