Try the freeing sensation of those who campers in a boardgame

 
THE FREEING LIFE IN CAMPER IS WELL REPRESENTED IN CAMPER TOUR:
  • the route is continually planned (the tiles are placed when needed) 
  • each holidaymaker chooses when to return home (move backwards towards the “home tile”)
  • the stays in a place can be changed (thanks to the dice’s declarations and the special tiles)
  • experiences, expectations (“Camper Points”)
  • lunch where pleased (you can play in restricted places such as dinettes and small camping tables).
All this is given by the “moving home”. But what happens in Camper Tour?

AIM OF THE GAME
 
THE AIM OF THE GAME IS TO COMPLETE THE LONGEST JOURNEY,
returning home at the right time.
 
THIS OCCURS
making the “outward journey” and the “return journey” consuming all the available “Camper Points”, trying not to use them all up too early or too late.
 
HOW TO PLAY camper tokens
 
ALL THE CAMPERS MOVE ALONG THE SAME TIME TO TIME CREATED ROUTE.
 
EACH PLAYER HAS AT HIS DISPOSAL:
  • 1 camper
  • 25 tokens
  • 1 marker.
DURING HIS TURN, EACH PLAYER
declares a number and then he throws the dice. If the outcome of the dice is:
• equal to or lower than the stated distance, the turn ends
higher than the stated distance, the player moves his Camper by the number of tiles stated and discards a number of Camper points equal to the difference.
 
A PLAYER CAN CHOOSE TO START HIS “RETURN JOURNEY” DURING ANY TURN; 
he simply changes the direction of his Camper and places his coloured marker on the tile where the Camper stands.

Game’s strategy
 
THE ADOPTED STRATEGY CONSISTS IN EVALUATING THE RIGHT MOMENT TO GO BACK,
because during the “return journey” the player will continue consuming his camper
points. During the “perfect trip” we should reach the “home tile” after using up precisely all our Camper Points throughout the full, return journey. But what if we don’t succeed? 
 
IT IS NO GOOD TO USE THEM ALL UP OR TO SAVE THEM.
In both cases, the player must move his coloured marker back a tile, thus making his trip “shorter”. But the game’s aim is to travel the farthest…
 
ALTOUGH THE GAME IS BASED ON THE DICE’S THROW,
the game’s strategy is in the players’ hands; he must be skillful at “dividing the energies”.
 
IT IS NOT A TRADITIONAL COMPETITION:
  • to go “fast” is not always the best option
  • to be too prudent can turn to be a little “disaster”.
Therefore, attention: dole out your resources!
 
Special tiles
 
AS FOR REAL, DURING THE JOURNEY UNEXPECTED EVENTS CAN OCCUR.
They are represented by “special tiles” that can: 
  • increase or camper_tour_contents
  • decrease
the camper points’ supply.
 
They are: 
  • No parking
  • Unexpected comfort
  • Town festival
  • No heating
THIS ADDS A LITTLE MORE OF CAUSALITY
that can force us to change our game’s strategy.
